Babywearing and Sling Information and Resources

Here are a few links if you are interested in reading more about slings/carriers, why people use them and resources to help you online.

www.babyslingsafety.co.uk is the online 'home' of the T.I.C.K.S. safety checklist - a must-read for anyone using slings.  The checklist is a set of guidelines or principles which apply whichever sort of sling you are using and are primarily concerned with ensuring your baby has a secure, supported position and a clear, unrestricted airway.

www.slingguide.co.uk is a brilliant resource - a one-stop site for background information about babywearing, why people do it and a great overview of the different types available.

www.slingpages.co.uk is a great reference site - a directory of sling support in the UK, with a comprehensive list of sling consultants, libraries and retailers.  The Yellow Pages of UK sling resources!

www.babywearinginternational.org is an international babywearing advocacy and education organisation
